Change to Telehealth Conditions
Throughout COVID, Telehealth was a life line for patients and doctors alike. Looking after the health and wellbeing throughout a pandemic brings many challenges, whilst maintaining a safe and effective approach to quality care.
Medicare has changed the criteria for telehealth billing, so you may have noticed we've had to adjust our online bookings for face-to-face appointments ONLY. If you would like a telehealth consultation, please call reception and we can make sure the criteria is met before scheduling your appointment.
This will help avoid any confusion and possible non-rebatable appointments; we're happy to talk you through the criteria and answer any questions you may have.
If you do not meet the Medicare criteria but would still like a telehealth appointment, we can help you! There will be a private fee of $78 payable at the conclusion of your consult, and this does not attract a rebate.
