APPOINTMENTS
A standard appointment is 15 minutes (10 minutes for Dr Bryce Speirs) please let receptionist know if you require a longer appointment. Longer times are required for insurance exams, pre-employment exams, multiple health issues, pap smears and emotional or psychological problems. The Medicare rebate is higher for longer consultations, resulting in only a marginal out-of-pocket difference.
Our reception staff will keep you informed if there is a significant delay. Despite our best intentions we sometimes run late. Our appointment schedule is such that we do allow time for the unexpected, but those events cannot be predicted with accuracy in advance.
Patients with medical emergencies will be attended to as a priority.
An appointment reminder message is sent via SMS to your mobile phone, please make sure reception has your current number.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please advise us so we are able to offer your time slot to another patient. A fee may be charged for missed appointments.
Please arrive in time for your appointment and check-in with reception. We are happy for you to ring ahead to check on waiting times.
