A little about us

Tyner Road Medical Centre brings over 30 years experience in the Wantirna area with a dedicated team of general practitioners, nurses and staff.

Starting off in the terrace buildings down the road, we moved to our current location and have since completed multiple building extensions; continuing in our growth to provide the best services possible.

Our well-equipped + modern facilities provide a comfortable environment when you visit, offering wheelchair access and on-site parking.
Extra street parking is available in addition to the reserve parking across from the centre.
We provide baby change tables in two of our toilets to support parents and provide a large wheelchair-friendly toilet with adequate space. We are happy to accommodate breast-feeding mothers by offering a private room to feed, if required.

Close to public transport and down the road from Knox City Shopping Centre, we are easily accessible no matter which mode of transport you come by. We are happy to call a taxi for patients after their appointments, see our friendly reception staff upon checking out.

We are an AGPAL Accredited General Practice, undergoing regular voluntary assessments + reviews by a third party in accordance with RACGP guidelines of best practice. This ensures we’re offering a high level of care, all the time. See more information about what this means, below.

We are always working toward improving our services and providing complete healthcare for your family.
We welcome your feedback! Connect with us on our social platforms Facebook, Instagram or send us an email here.

What does it mean to be “Accredited”?

After a thorough and comprehensive interviewing and reviewing process, we are proud to have recently achieved accreditation.

What does this mean?
Being accredited means that our general practice is committed to a comprehensive program which involves:

  • Engaging our whole practice team to review our practice’s systems and processes

  • Opening our practice doors to allow a team of independent surveyors to assess how our practice operates

  • Assessment of our practice, and achievement of the nationally recognised Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards for general practices, that focus on health care quality and patient safety.

As a member of the community you may be surprised to learn that general practice accreditation is a voluntary process – which means not all practices undergo an independent on-site assessment on a regular basis.

Achievement of AGPAL accreditation reassures you that our doctors and practice team are committed to providing you with high quality health care in a safe environment.

Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) is a not-for-profit independent provider of general practice accreditation in Australia.
