As a cherished patient at Tyner Road Medical Centre, we invite you to sign up for MyMedicare.

This registration is completely free and voluntary for all patients possessing a valid Medicare card or a Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) card.

What is MyMedicare?

MyMedicare is a new initiative by the federal government aimed at enhancing the bond between patients and their healthcare teams. It seeks to improve health outcomes and patient satisfaction by encouraging patients to consistently visit their preferred GP or healthcare provider.

  • Registered patients can access a range of enhanced primary care services, including extended telehealth consultations and chronic disease management.

  • You can register for MyMedicare starting from October 1, 2023, by logging into your Medicare online services through the Medicare Online Account or the Express Plus Medicare mobile app.

    Patients with a DVA Card must complete the registration via a hard copy form, available from our reception team.

    If you cannot complete the registration online, our reception team can assist you in filling out a hard copy form.

    Though registering for MyMedicare is voluntary, we encourage you to register with your regular practice and GP to formalize your patient-doctor relationship. This will enable your GP to strengthen their relationship with you and provide better access to health services, including extended telehealth visits and chronic disease management, ensuring holistic and continuous care.
